Corporate Social Responsibility

  • At Specsavers, an important part of our culture is also our passion for giving back to our communities. We support a number of charities and causes locally, nationally and internationally, having raised around AUD$4,000,000 in 2013/14 alone.

  • At Specsavers, we ensure we provide a safe and healthy workplace for the people who make our products. Across our supply chain, human and civil rights are respected. We’re committed to our global ethical trading policy and conduct regular, independent audits of all our major suppliers outside of Europe. Our European suppliers already adhere to globally recognised regulatory standards.

  • We also understand the impact we have on our environment and so we’re committed to running our businesses in a sustainable way. This means being efficient in the resources we consume, minimising the waste we generate and reducing our CO2 emissions in every area of the organisation.

  • We have a clear responsibility to our customers, partners and team members, and the communities we operate in, to always operate with social conscience. That’s why Corporate Social Responsibility is an essential part of our culture, just as it has been since Specsavers’ foundation. The Specsavers Australia and New Zealand business has a strong CSR program and we encourage our team members to be active social citizens through fundraising and volunteering.
